They have grey hair and a beard and wear a cap, long-sleeved coat, waistcoat, knee-length trousers, and bear feet. They hold a walking stick in their left hand. A dog lies in front of them with its head on its paws. The background consists of trees and foliage, with a jug and bowl on the cloth-draped table beside the person.
