The image displays a rustic scene with various elements positioned on different planes. In the foreground, there is a seated figure with a wide-brimmed hat and a bag slung over their back, facing away. Adjacent is a horse with a pack saddle, angled to the right. Next to the horse is a reclining cow with its head raised, and a dog standing in front. The rough, rocky terrain has sparse vegetation. In the distance, a large rock formation dominates the right, while the left fades into a softer horizon with distant buildings and foliage. The artwork is done in a monochromatic palette with detailed engravings capturing textures and shadows.
