Each emblem is numbered twice in Arabic numerals 2-27: upper left within the plate and upper right outside the plate; the number 1 has been inscribed in pen and black ink on the title plate; the number 25 printed upper right outside the image has been changed in pen and black ink to 28; the number 25 is inscribed in pen and black ink above this altered number, presumably a correction by a later hand; on upper spine in brown ink: LUX / CLAVS / TRI; in graphite an encircled V and DL0961 also encircled
