The painting depicts a landscape with rocky outcrops, trees, and distant mountains. A rocky brown hill that takes up the lower third of the image, and at the top there are white buildings with brown roofs. These buildings are surrounded by green trees, and on the other side of the hill we can see more dense trees and other structures. Above the distant mountains is a blue sky filled with a few white clouds.
