Artist, Italian, 1609 - 1664

The image shows a scene with several figures: a woman sitting and leaning over an infant in swaddling clothes, two cherubs lying down, and a larger figure, possibly an angel, hovering in mid-air with one hand raised. The woman has delicate features and hair pulled back, wearing a draped garment. The cherubs have wings and appear to be observing. The larger figure has wavy hair and a serene expression, dressed in a robe. The background is softly textured with faint landscapes and foliage.
