Printed in burnt orange on cream-white paper, the head and neck of a man facing our left is created with visible, slashing gouges in this vertical woodcut. The man is balding or has a high forehead and  hollow eyes, high cheekbones, and a twisted, small mouth. The artist signed and dated the sheet under the printed image in the lower left corner, “Roger Herman 1983.” Other graphite inscriptions include “Vincent” under the center and “10/10” under the lower right corner.
