The image depicts a man standing upright with his left hand on his hip and his right hand holding a sword by his side. He has a bushy beard and mustache, dark hair under a hat. He wears a uniform with a dark blue jacket, light blue trousers with a red stripe, white gloves, and a shako hat with a red plume and gold emblem. A leather strap crosses his chest and his belt has a prominent buckle. The background is plain with a simple floor.
