The image is an etching showing a rural landscape. The viewpoint is slightly elevated, looking over the scene. Tall trees dominate the left side, against the sky. The etching style uses fine lines and cross-hatching for texture. The color scheme is monochromatic, using shades of sepia and black. A pathway with two figures, possibly a woman and a child, is in the foreground. Farther away, fields and more trees lead to the horizon.
