The image shows a low-angle view looking up at a large rock face dominating the scene, possibly part of a quarry. The rock surface fills most of the composition, with a horse-drawn cart on the left. Two figures are near the cart, one seated and one standing, partly lit by light on the rock. The brushstrokes are detailed, emphasizing texture on the rock. The color scheme is black, gray, and white, highlighting light and shadow. This creates a dramatic scene.
