This is a drawing of an ornate decorative cartouche with figures and intricate detailing. The image features a symmetrical design predominantly made of flowing, organic lines that resemble classical acanthus leaf patterns. At each side of the cartouche, there are semi-nude cherubic figures with curly hair, one on the left and another on the right, each leaning into the frame of the cartouche with their legs wrapped around the scrollwork. The figures interact with the flourish of acanthus leaves and elaborate curvilinear motifs around them. The whole composition is executed with fine, detailed line work, giving it a sense of elegance and classical beauty typical of baroque or rococo styles. The central area of the cartouche is vacant.
