This is a drawing of a coastal scene with a boat and a crowd. The drawing shows a small boat on the water with several figures aboard and a multitude of figures gathered on the shore. The boat is sailing close to the shore where a large gathering observes from the land and the rocky cliffs create a boundary for the background. The scene appears to take place near a harbor, suggested by the presence of distant buildings and additional boats in the background. The drawing uses fine linework with an emphasis on detail and expression, typical of classical etching styles.
