The man has a round face with warm complexion and gentle features. He has dark eyes and is bald, with some hair above his ears. He wears a black cap and a black coat with a white ruffled shirt visible at the cuffs. A bright blue fabric is also visible. In the background, there is a brown-toned backdrop contrasting with a sky-blue panel on the right. An easel is partially visible.
