Recorded as from New Jersey.[1] (Harry Stone Gallery, New York). Mr. and Mrs. Carl Drepperd, by 1942, by whom sold in 1954 to Edgar William and Bernice Chrysler Garbisch; by bequest to NGA, 1980.
[1] According to the Garbisch records. The caption to an illustration of this painting in Antiques 42 (October, 1942), 181 and frontispiece, states that it was discovered in Pennsylvania.
