The sculpture depicts a male figure in profile facing left. The figure has distinctive facial features, a beard, mustache, and short, wavy hair. He wears a draped garment. The bronze material shows a brown color with green patina. The circular medallion has an inscription around the border, reading "MARCUS MANT BONAVIT PATAVIN." There is a small hole near the top edge, likely for hanging. The artifact appears aged with fine craftsmanship.

[1] The catalogue of the 1975 sale briefly describes the inventory of the paintings, drawings, prints, and medals in the Chigi residence, northwest of Rome. Compiled by Carlo Bini at the direction of Prince Agostino Chigi, the inventory, under the title Guardaroba dell' Ariccia, is dated 22 March 1674 and is part of the Chigi archive in the Vatican Library (Armadio 316). This medal is number 137 in the inventory.
