Savor a summer evening with the musical artistry of Leigh Pilzer—one of DC’s leading saxophonists—and her band. Leigh Pilzer’s Seven Pointed Star brings you an evening of music ranging from swing to contemporary rhythms, performed with electrifying energy, joy, and skill.

The seven-piece ensemble features DMV jazz luminaries Amy Shook (bass), Kenny Rittenhouse (trumpet), Joe Jackson (trombone), Tim Green (alto saxophone), and Robert Redd (piano), with special guest Sherrie Maricle (drums).

Their set includes compositions by Pilzer and other band members—all arranged by Pilzer—to showcase each musician’s talents.
