An older man is sitting on a stone in a countryside setting. He leans on his right arm, with one leg crossed over the other. The man has a weathered face, a beard, and wears a large hat. He is dressed in a fur-lined cloak that covers him from shoulders to ankles and holds a staff in his left hand. Next to him is a large cow, resting at his side with its head lowered. Behind him is a young child peeking out. In the background, there are goats grazing on the grass and an old stone archway surrounded by trees and foliage.
