The image shows a landscape viewed from a slightly elevated perspective. In the foreground, there is a waterway with a person and a donkey. Beyond, the terrain becomes slightly undulating with sparse vegetation. In the distance, there is a windmill with smaller structures nearby. The horizon is in the upper third of the composition, with dense clouds in the sky. The image is an etching with fine, hatched lines for texture and shading. The color scheme is monochromatic, using shades of black and tan on a muted beige background.
