The image displays ancient Greek ruins with tall, weathered columns. The view is straight on with a slightly elevated point of view. Near the horizon, there are remaining structures of a temple, including columns with Ionic capitals and fragmented stone walls. The sky above is clear and light-colored. Close to the viewer, rubble and rocky ground lead towards the architectural elements. A few figures are visible nearby. In the distance, faint outlines of hills or mountains can be seen. The color palette is monochromatic in tones of sepia, adding to the historical feel of the image.
