The image shows a harbor scene with a view of a town from the water. A boat with sails, masts, and ropes is depicted on the right side, framing the image's edge. The horizon is where the buildings meet the water. The buildings along the waterfront have different architectural styles. The drawing uses fine lines and cross-hatching for detail and depth, showing reflections on the water. The colors are muted, primarily sepia tones, with light from the sky contrasting against the darker tones of the structures. In the distance, other small boats and structures fade into the background merging with the sky.
