This is a photograph of a horse hitched to a two-wheeled carriage. The scene shows a light-colored horse standing still as it is bound to a simple carriage with large spoked wheels. The backdrop consists of a wooden fence or a rough wooden building. The horse is outfitted with leather harnesses linked to the carriage, and the surface on which they stand appears to be flat and light-colored. There are markings and spots on the photograph. The image has an antiquated quality, typical of 19th-century horse-and-buggy depictions.
