The woman has smooth facial features, dark hair styled neatly, and is dressed in a traditional striped kimono with an obi tied at the back. In her hands, she holds a piece of paper with calligraphy. Surrounding her are several wooden lacquered boxes of varying sizes. In the background, there is a decorative screen with painted fans and parts of a wooden cabinet. The setting is indoors, and the floor is covered with a woven mat.
