The image shows five figures in various positions. A bearded man is seated and leaning on a staff, supporting his head with one hand. Beside him is a woman seated with her body turned slightly to the right. Two children are sitting on a stone ledge, one facing forward and the other reaching out towards a sheep. The setting includes large stone pillars on the left, a stone building with a rounded tower behind the figures, and various architectural elements. In the background, there is a bare tree on the right and clouds in the sky. The scene is rendered in a classical style with emphasis on line work and shading.
