This is a drawing of two abstract, costumed figures facing each other. The image displays two exaggerated, comical figures. On the left, a figure with a bulbous, distorted face and an elaborate headpiece is dressed in layered robes. The figure seems to be lifting one foot. On the right, another figure, also with an exaggerated face and a comical nose, stands holding a lute or similar stringed instrument. This figure’s clothing is similarly voluminous and layered. The style is reminiscent of a satirical or humorous depiction, using exaggerated features and attire.
