Artist, French, 1592 - 1635

The image depicts two standing figures shown from head to toe. The person on the left is facing the viewer, with their head turned slightly to the right, while the person on the right is in profile, facing the left. The individual on the left has a well-defined face with a beard and wears a cap. They are wrapped in a cloak or a robe, holding what appears to be a brimmed hat in their right hand. The person on the right has a fur-lined hat. Their face is partially obscured due to the profile view. They are wearing a large cloak draped over their shoulders, covering much of their body, and holding a staff or walking stick with one hand. Their lower legs and feet, clad in thick, loose-fitting pants and boots, are visible beneath the cloak. Both figures appear to be dressed warmly. The background is plain and unadorned.
