This image depicts a half-length portrait of a man in engraved form. He is seated, facing slightly to the right with his head turned towards the viewer. The man has a beard and mustache, with short curled hair and a crown-like headpiece. He wears elaborate armor with a circular collar resembling a ruff. His left hand rests on a baton or staff across his midsection. The background is filled with shading for depth, and there is an inscription below the image.
