The image shows a bird's-eye view of a coastal region drawn with fine, detailed ink work. The horizon is elevated and slightly curved, displaying the coastline. There are small sailing vessels near the shore. In the middle-to-distant sections, there are numerous buildings with tiny figures, possibly resembling a historical or military scene. The lines of the artwork create different shades and textures, depicting waves and the coastline. The color palette is monochrome with various grays and blacks against an off-white background. Smoke can be seen at points along the coast and within the buildings.
