Recorded as from Baltimore. Descended in the family of the sitter to his aunt, Mrs. G. Ogden, Ogdensburg, New York, who owned it in 1846.[1] Purchased in 1949 by Edgar William and Bernice Chrysler Garbisch; gift to NGA, 1953.
