Information about Alex Reid and Lefèvre's dealing with the picture, including the joint account with Knoedler and the sale to Gérard, is also contained in a letter dated 15 August 1966 from Alex Reid and Lefèvre, in NGA curatorial files. According to a note in the object folder, dated 1966, Paul Vollotton, nephew of dealer Félix Vollotton, said the painting had been in his firm's possession sometime after Feuz' ownership, but that is unconfirmed.
