The image shows an elevated view of a group of figures in a procession. Closest to the viewer is a group of elaborately dressed figures, led by a banner-holder. The scene extends from left to right with a rocky outcrop guiding the eyes across the composition. Additional figures and a horse with a rider are seen further along a rocky path leading upward. The intricate details and textures of the landscape and figures are created using fine, detailed brushstrokes characteristic of engraving. The color palette is monochromatic with black ink on a light beige background, emphasizing the detailed line work and contrast.
