The image depicts activities on land and on the water. The horizon line is low, showing a city skyline across the water with buildings, including domes and towers. Closest to us on the right are detailed, aged buildings with stairs and trees. The style features detailed brushstrokes in an etching technique, emphasizing lines and shading for texture. The color palette is monochromatic, using variations of black and brown on a cream background. Boats on the left and figures on the shoreline add to the busy atmosphere.
