The image shows a bust portrait of a man from the shoulders up. He is facing forward with his head turned slightly to the left. The man has a serious expression, a high forehead, a long nose, and a long beard. He has little hair on the top of his head, a receded hairline, but hair on the sides. He is dressed in what appears to be a high-collared robe. Surrounding the portrait is an ornate frame with intricate carvings including swirls, floral motifs, and a central shell at the top. There is a detailed coat of arms at the bottom of the frame. The background features a decorative, classical architectural design with elements commonly found in ornate print or etching artwork.
