Artist After, French, 1592 - 1635

The image shows a landscape with a village nestled among trees from an elevated viewpoint. The horizon is high in the composition. The style is reminiscent of traditional etchings, using fine brushstrokes in a monochromatic color palette of browns and beiges. A figure fishes by the water, and a bridge connects a rock formation where another figure stands. Faint structures in the background add depth to the scene.
