Artist, French, 1592 - 1635

The image shows two women in full-body view, seen from behind, walking side by side. Both women have their arms bent at the elbows, and they appear to be carrying baskets on their left forearms. They are wearing long-sleeved jackets with peplum detail at the waist and long skirts underneath. Their hair is styled in elaborate, curled updos. They stand on a textured surface. In the background are three figures, depicted in similar period clothing, standing and interacting with each other. The overall background is a simple, light-toned surface, emphasizing the figures in the foreground.
