The image shows an expansive landscape with a bird flying centrally in the composition. The horizon line runs behind the bird, encompassing hills and a cluster of buildings to the right. The background features undulating hills. The drawing uses fine line work to suggest texture in the landscape and bird's feathers. The color palette is monochromatic, emphasizing light and shadow in the sky. Closest to us, the landscape is sparse, while further back, there are more detailed buildings and hills.
