The viewpoint is slightly above the scene, looking downwards at an island-like formation. The horizon is in the middle of the image with calm waters extending from it. On the horizon, there is a thin band suggesting distant land or water. The artwork uses fine, linear brushstrokes to render the texture of the grasses and reeds on the small patch of land. These strokes create a sense of movement as they curve and bend. In the sky, there is a small cloud on the left side above the horizon, with rays extending downward. The color palette is monochrome with varying shades of black and white. The composition is simple and detailed.
