This is a drawing of a scene with a diverse group of figures in an oval frame. The central figure is carrying a large cross and appears to have stumbled. They are surrounded by a crowd with some holding spears or pikes and others holding flags with symbols. The setting includes a rough, rocky landscape, an architectural edge on the right side, and figures on an elevated rocky outcrop to the left. The sky is lightly sketched. The drawing technique uses fine lines to capture details and movement.
