The image shows two full-length figures in a detailed etching. The adult figure stands with their body facing forward but with their head turned towards the viewer, their left hand gesturing slightly upward while holding the hand of the child standing beside them. The adult has long, wavy hair and a full beard. Their facial features are distinctly detailed with sharp lines typical of etchings. They wear ornate clothing with abundant texture and decorative patterns, including a lavish coat, knee-length breeches, and elegant boots. The clothing is accentuated with intricate patterns and appears to be of noble style. The child beside the adult also has long, curly hair and wears a small hat adorned with feathers, a cape, a jacket, knickerbockers, and similar styled shoes. The child is carrying what appears to be a part of an artistic tool or walking stick. The background reveals a detailed cityscape with various buildings, streets, and people. Above the figures are heavy drapes framing the top of the image, and a coat of arms is prominently displayed between them.
