The image is an etching depicting a chaotic scene. A church with a bell tower is in the background, and there are many figures engaged in a tumultuous encounter. Trees frame the scene, and the lines in the etching convey movement. The color palette is monochrome. Closest to the viewer, individuals and animals are sprawled out. Combatants are wielding weapons among swirling smoke, and some figures are in the trees. Buildings are visible in the distance, and a figure hangs from a tree branch.
