This is a drawing of a heraldic bookplate. The design features a shield at the center with intricate scrollwork and detailing. At the top of the image, the words "EX LIBRIS" are displayed. The name "W. B. PATERSON" and the location "GLASGOW" are inscribed in the scroll above and around the shield. Within the central shield, there is an abstract design. The surrounding scrollwork is detailed and ornate. The initials "DYC" are included at the bottom right of the design. The use of shading and line work gives depth to the drawing.
