The image depicts a high vantage point overlooking a cityscape with architectural features and gargoyles on the edges of a building. The horizon is far in the distance, with a mass of buildings and soft lines. The brushstrokes or etching lines are precise, detailing the stone of the gargoyles and rooftops. The color palette is monochromatic in sepia and beige. Closest are intricately designed gargoyles, one leans forward over the edge. The city unfolds with streets and buildings diminishing into the background.
