Artist, German, 1471 - 1528

This is a drawing of a religious scene. The full-description shows a heavenly depiction with a crowned female figure seated on a cloud, surrounded by two crowned figures holding a crown above her head. A dove is positioned above them, radiating light. The figures are encased within an elaborate border of clouds, flanked by cherub faces. Beneath this heavenly scene, a group of robed figures are engaging in various gestures, some in prayer and others holding religious artifacts, standing around what seems to be a sarcophagus or altar below. The artwork's line work and detailing are characteristic of woodcut or engraving styles common in religious artworks, reminiscent of Albrecht Dürer's style.
