The image is a detailed woodcut depicting several individuals in a historical setting. Five full-body figures and two partial figures are shown. In the foreground, a soldier in armor is holding a spear, facing away from the viewer. A dog is beside him. Other individuals in various clothing are around them, with one person seated on steps and another man with a beard and turban standing at the top of the steps, gesturing. Pillars frame the background, leading to an arched walkway and a detailed landscape of a medieval town. The woodcut is monochromatic, using line work and hatching for detail.
