This drawing depicts a skeletal figure riding a horse through a chaotic battlefield scene. The figure wields a scythe as it rides a ghostly horse, while soldiers and horses clash below in dust and turmoil. The skeletal rider and horse dominate the scene above the chaos, creating an aura of doom and decay. The linework and shading enhance the theme of death overpowering life.
