The image features a hunting tableau with a large wild boar on the right, being chased across a pastoral landscape. A rider on horseback pursues the boar in the distance, while a group of hunting dogs engages it on the left. The etching uses crosshatching and fine lines for texture and depth, particularly in foliage and the boar's fur. The color palette is monochromatic in black and white, typical of traditional engravings. The figures are dynamically positioned, conveying motion in a rustic setting.
