In the center, a bishop is standing behind a font, extending his arm forward as if to sprinkle water on a small child held by another man. The bishop wears a mitre and a long robe. The child is unclothed and extended towards the font, held by a man. Other individuals in the scene wear period-specific clothing, including prominent collars and layered garments. Various headgear is worn, including distinct veiled hats by some women. The group is surrounded by large columns and curtain-like drapery, creating a formal ambiance. Some attendees carry staffs.
