Giovanni Battista Piazzetta

Artist, Italian, 1683 - 1754

The image shows an upper body depiction of a person, captured from the torso upwards. The individual is turned towards the viewer with their head slightly turned to the side, giving a three-quarter profile view of their face. This person has delicate facial features with a focused gaze directed towards the viewer. Their hair appears wavy and falls to the side, just peeking out from under a wide-brimmed hat. The attire consists of a draped garment with visible folds; there are no visible patterns or jewelry adorning their clothing. The left hand of the person is partially visible, with fingers extending towards the bottom right corner of the image. The background is plain, with a textured appearance.
