Viau, Georges, Dr.

Biography

Three sales of Viau's collection were held following his death: on 11 February 1942 and 24 February 1943 at the Hôtel Drouot in Paris, and on 22 June 1948 at the Galerie Charpentier in Paris. This last sale consisted of six pictures which were on exhibit at the New York World's Fair in 1939 and did not return to France until after the war.
