Overview: A comprehensive exhibition of early Italian engravings was arranged to celebrate the publication of the definitive catalogue of early Italian engravings by Arthur M. Hind, keeper of prints and drawings, British Museum. The installation of the prints, selected from the principal American collections and from the Rosenwald collection, followed the general chronology of the book.

Catalog: Early Italian Engravings, by A.M. Hind. Part 2, volumes 5-7. London, published for the National Gallery of Art, 1948.
