Overview: 75 photographs were exhibited, one of the 6 full museum sets chosen by Ansel Adams as representative of the best of his life's work. They were the result of the last 5 years of his life, during which he made new prints from old negatives. Also shown were mural prints and 2 screens lent by Mrs. Ansel Adams, who subsequently donated a museum set to the Gallery. The set exhibited was owned by Pacific Telesis Group, which also provided a grant for the exhibition.

Organization: The exhibition was coordinated by Nicolai Cikovsky Jr., and designed by Gaillard Ravenel and Mark Leithauser. Gordon Anson designed the lighting.
