Employee Viewpoint Survey
In 2019, the National Gallery of Art again participated in the government's Employee Viewpoint Survey. The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) surveyed more than 615,000 permanent federal employees, requesting their opinions on leadership, job satisfaction, and work-life issues.
At the Gallery, 731 federal employees were surveyed and 452 responded, for a response rate of 61.8%, which well exceeded the government-wide response rate of 42.6%. The survey included 71 “core” questions. The responses to 27 (38.0%) of these questions were identified as Gallery "strengths" (65% or more positive responses), while 6 questions (8.4%) were identified as "challenges" (35% or more negative responses).
